February Crop

We had a great time on the 17th! We missed those of you on vacation or otherwise MIA and hope to see you on February 21st.
Don't forget to sign up for the East Lake Women's retreat scheduled in March. The retreat is a good way to have a great time, meet lots of new people, and grow closer to God.
Remember to pray for Brandy. She has surgery scheduled for February. I will send out an e-mail closer to the date for anyone that would like to provide a meal for Brandy and her family during her recovery period.
See you on February 21st!

It's That Time Again

Hello,

I hope your week is going well. Our December crop is this Saturday from 5:00-11:00 at the church. This is a great time to work on those last minute gifts for neighbors, teachers or family. Remember that crafters are welcome too or anyone that likes great conversation and food, so invite a friend.

If you plan to attend please respond to this e-mail so that enough tables are set up. I hope to see you there.

Also, Angie Ellis sent this info along - If you purchased a Cricut Expression machine recently, go to cricut.com! You could send in your receipt and $8 for shipping on 2 FREE CARTRIDGES!!!

Have a great week!

December Crop?

We missed those of you that couldn't make it on Saturday and hope you can join us next time. We were happy to welcome Jessica's friend Stephanie and Karen and her daughter Nicole!

As always, we had some great food which was only surpased by the great company. We enjoyed a DJ compliments of the party next door. In fact he was so good we contemplated inviting him back for our next crop. ;)

I know that Christmas is a very busy time for all of us. I personally have some presents I would like to work on and several other people have mentioned they have gift projects as well. If you are interested in coming to a crop on Saturday, December 13th, please let me know.

Lastly, some you may remember Jeanie Luke from when she joined us to crop one time or you may know her from church. She is very ill and I know she and her son Wes would really appreciate our prayers for them right now.

Have a great week and don't forget to respond regarding the 13th.

Thanks,
Lydia

Retreat Pics!

Here are a few pics of the retreat. When we arrived it was cold and rainy so it was very cozy our first night with a fire in the fireplace! Many people brought snacks to share and the coffee was brewing. It took us NO TIME at all to get all our stuff out and start scrapping! We were blessed that Lydia felt well enough to come as planned. Everybody chipped in to help out with setting up, etc.
After dinner everybody started breaking out the pajamas. Some people stayed up until the wee hours. I think the record was 5:00am!

We even had a row of ditital scrappers.

Once the rain stopped, the rest of the weekend was beautiful! Here are some fall pics.

We had a lot of fun and can't wait 'til next year!

November Crop

Well the scrapbook retreat was a blast. We enjoyed spending time with old friends and making new ones. We had 11 out of 17 people report numbers and a total of 1,630 photos scrapped!!!! One person cropped over 500 pictures! Other than some really spicy lasagna, I think a great time was had by all. We will definitely plan another next year so stay tuned.

Our November crop is planned for Saturday, November 8th from 5:00 - 11:00. Due to a scheduling conflict, the youth room will be in use that night so we will meet in the foyer. Please enter through the glass doors on the sanctuary end of the church. Please let me know if you plan to attend so that the correct number of tables are set up. I hope to see you on the 8th.

On another note, I would like to say thank you for all the prayers. I am feeling much better and hopefully will be as good as new soon.:)

Thanks,
Lydia

It's Almost Time!

Only 3 more days until the retreat and I can't wait! Directions to Camp Fellowship are below. Once you turn into Camp Fellowship, just follow the road to the end (maybe 1/4 mile) Our building is on the left. It's the only real obvious place to stop. There is a nice sized parking lot, can't miss it! Check in is at 2:00 pm on Friday. We need to be packed up and out of our rooms by 12:00pm on Sunday, but then we can go to lunch.

Plan ahead to bring everything you need for scrapping, paper, adhesive, etc. Here is a coupon for A.C. Moore if you need one. It is good through Saturday. Also, there is a Walmart and a scrapbook store called Two Old Bags located about 20 minutes away from Camp Fellowhip if there are any adhesive/paper emergencies, etc. The directions are below.

Here is a checklist of things to bring:

  • Breakfast food – lunch and dinner will be provided. Breakfast is not. There is a microwave, full sized refrigerator and coffee maker available for our use. (We will supply the coffee, but you might want to bring your own sweeteners if you are particular like me. I only use sugar free hazelnut creamer, or no coffee for me!)
  • Snack items and drinks (No alcoholic beverages allowed on the premises)
  • Cup with a lid
  • Desk lamp (the room is pretty well lit by skylights, but if it is overcast you may want extra light)
  • Seat cushion
  • Extra bed pillow/towel
  • Extra adhesive and paper (don't forget your photos! Hey, it HAS happened...more than once!)
  • Flashlight
  • Umbrella
  • Favorite cd
  • Socks or slippers
  • Toiletries

If you have any new items that you bought and then decided you didn’t need, and would like to donate for a prize that would be great. We will have a prize area set up. If there is anything else you need to know, leave a comment. See you in 3 days! Yay!

Prayer Request

Our fearless leader, Lydia, was admitted into the hospital Sunday with a ruptured appendix. Please keep her and her family in your prayers.
