FYI - Retreat?

Just a note to let you know that we are once again working to schedule a scrapping retreat. The target date is in October. We are trying to keep the cost below $100. Keep this in mind as you are planning your fall calendar and check back for more information.

We had a great time last Saturday, fellowshiping with friends and meeting new ones. Welcome to Lydia's sister, Angie! Those of you who were camping with girl scouts, out with the flu or otherwise engaged, we missed you! Hope to see everyone next month....

May Crop

We had a wonderful time on Saturday. We were so glad that Vivian and Denise joined us. It was great to meet each of them. We missed those of you that were unable to attend and hope to see you in May. Mark your calendar for Saturday, May 17th, from 5:00-11:15. We will be at the church in the youth room. I'll send out a reminder about a week before the actual day.

Have a blessed week.

April Crop

Happy April! With all this rain there should definitely be May flowers. I hope to see everyone on Saturday the 12th. Remember we will be at the church this month. For those of you not familiar with the church location, the address is 10057 Broad River Road, Irmo, SC 29063. You can call my cell if you have problems finding it, 206-6784.

The card ministry is in need of "Baby" cards. Blank cards have been donated if anyone would like to make some cards, baby or otherwise, for the card ministry. I know they would greatly appreciate anything you were willing to make. April is always very greatful and complimentary of the cards that we make for them.

So far I have spinach dip and drinks. If you plan to attend, please respond to this e-mail so that we will have enough tables set up. Bring a friend (new to the group) and pick a prize! Sorry, flat screen tv's are not on the list.;)

Have a great week!

Lydia

Also, Congratulations to Christi Sheppard who gave birth to Zachary Aaron on March 6th. Zachary weighed in at 7lbs 8 oz and 20 inches long. Our group is growing by leaps and bounds! ;)

I hope to see everyone in April.

Hey Ladies!

Do you want MORE opportunities to scrap? Inspired by our little group, my friend Deborah from Lexington Prebyterian Church decided to start her own scrappin' ministry for her church, and boy did she! They meet Thursday mornings once a month at The Watershed and recently added all day Saturday crops once a month. These are FREE! On April 19th they are having a big deal crop with a special guest from Fiskars who will teach a class and give away prizes. (this crop will be at Lexington Presbyterian Church) Did I mention FREE? You can find out more here at their website, Fellowship of Scrappers. If you are interested in attending the April 19th crop you need to email them at FOScrapbookers@gmail.com to save your spot. If there are several of you let them know and she can arrange for you all to sit at the same table. Unfortunately, I cannot go. I will be in Boston that weekend, but if I were here, I would SO BE THERE! I recommend going if you can. Deborah is very sweet and you'll have a great time.

Have a Happy Easter!

Angie
