Good Times

We missed those of you that couldn't make it on Sat. We had a great time at Wendy's house and the food was deliscious! Wendy, thanks for hosting .

Due to the Women's Retreat(I'm so EXCITED!), spring break, and Easter we will not have a crop in March. Be on the lookout for an e-mail and blog update regarding the date for April. If you are interested in hosting the April crop, please let me know.

I hope to see you all in April!

Thanks,Lydia

February Crop

We missed you guys at our last scrap night. Leanette made some rockin brownies! Thanks again Leanette for hosting.

February's East Lake Scrap Night is scheduled for Saturday, Feburary 16 from 5:00-12:00 at Wendy's. Wendy has offered to bake a main dish and have everyone fill in with sides i.e. (salad, bread, dessert, etc.). So let me know if you plan to come and what you would like to bring. If you don't get our email and need directions, leave a comment and we'll add you to our email list.
Hope to see everyone on the 16th!

First Scrap of the Year

Our next scrap night is Saturday, January 19 at Leanette's house. I hope everyone will be able to join us even if it is just for a little while. It will be great to catch up with everyone. Remember you don't have to scrap. You can also make cards, crafts or my favorite, just chat and eat. ;) Let me know if you need directions.

See you soon,

Lydia

Cute Idea

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I know this isn't strictly scrapping, but Brandy sent me this link and I thought it was cute and decided to pass it on! They look to be very inexpensive to make and Brandy suggested it would be a great gift idea for next Christmas.

Aren't they cute? These were made by Creative Kismet and you can click on the link to see her website with a complete tutorial on how to make them as well as link to her Flickr site to see step by step photos. Enjoy!

Our Last Crop At Keepsakes

Here are a few pictures from our last crop. We had a sweet time. Brandy worked on some Christmas presents.
Angie, Lydia & Leanet worked diligently on their scrapbooks: While Sam brought her own Christmas project to work on, hand-painted ornaments:
We also had great food as usual:
It's so sad not to meet at Keepsakes anymore. We will be meeting in homes for the next couple months, but we're working on a more permanent solution. See you in January! Have a wonderful Christmas season!

Next Crop

We missed those of you that couldn't make our last crop at Keepsakes. If you were unable to make it this past Saturday be sure to stop by the store to say goodbye to Susan. Our group has certainly appreciated all the good times we have shared at Keepsakes.

Our next crop will be January 19th at the home of Leanet Miller. We will start at 6:00. If you plan to attend, please let me know whether you would rather bring a dish for a pot luck or bring a snack. A reminder will be sent out as the date gets closer.

Have a Merry Christmas!
Lydia

Hello All

We have few items of business to discuss. I am sad to announce that Susan will be either selling or closing Keepsakes very soon. Please keep her in your prayers as the details are finalized. Therefore, December 1st will be our last crop at Keepsakes. This is also Famjam so we will not be starting until 7:00 that evening. I hope everyone will join us for a wonderful evening and I'm sure a few trips down memory lane. This will also be a great time to finish some last minute Christmas gifts/projects.

Two of our members have generously offered the use of their homes, taking care of scrap night for January and February. The dates are yet to be determined. Hopefully by March we will have new arrangements settled. Please keep this in your prayers as well.

The facility that we had chosen for the retreat is booked through the end of February. Others must have thought it was as great a find as we did. :) This places us back at square one. We are dissappointed but know that God has an even better place for us to use. Due to time restraints we will not be able to have a retreat in January. Keep checking the blog for updates.

Have a great Thanksgiving, remember to take lots of pictures and I hope to see everyone on December 1st.

Thanks,
Lydia
